Who We're Looking For: Your Essential Qualifications

To excel as a Quality Control (QC) Inspector in the rigorous and highly regulated Fort McMurray construction environment, you'll need specialized certifications and significant practical experience:

  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Expert ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, P&IDs, isometric drawings, piping schematics, electrical schematics, structural drawings, welding procedures (WPS/PQR), and relevant industry codes/standards.
    • Proficiency with precision measuring tools and specialized inspection equipment.
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) for report generation.
    • Experience with electronic document control systems.
  • Skills: Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical and diagnostic abilities, excellent written and verbal communication, strong report-writing and documentation skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) such as ISO 9001, inspection methodologies, non-conformance management, and project turnover requirements.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid Class 5 Driver's License with a clean abstract is typically required for site mobility.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various weather conditions, navigate construction sites, climb ladders/scaffolding, and lift/carry inspection equipment as needed.
