- Vendor & Subcontractor Engagement: Solicit and evaluate quotations from vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and scope coverage.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks, opportunities, and special conditions associated with projects and incorporate them into estimates.
- Database Management: Maintain and update estimating databases with current pricing, historical data, and production rates.

- Education: A Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related technical field is typically required.
- Experience:
- Intermediate: Minimum 3-7 years of direct estimating experience in heavy industrial, commercial, or institutional construction.
